Ignite Influence started with a simple, frustrating observation: business owners were spending thousands of dollars on social media and had absolutely no idea if it was working. I was never built for the traditional path.
While other students sat through lectures, I was spending half my school day at the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center studying art and design because creating things made sense to me in a way that textbooks never did. That's where I met my teacher Apryl Sparr. It was her first year, we butted heads plenty, but she saw something in me and pushed me to develop it. That push changed everything.
I went on to study graphic design and business in Pittsburgh, but the real education came from doing. I moved back home and cold-called local agencies until one of them gave me a shot. That call landed me a Creative Director role at Cassus Media, where I spent years building brands, leading creative strategy, and learning what actually moves the needle for businesses.
Over the past few years I have become a mentor for design and marketing students across Central Pennsylvania, working with colleges and GACTC to help the next generation of creators understand both the craft and the business behind it.
